So how is your salah?

25Jun09

The Prophet (sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam) said, “You only get from your salah what you concentrate on.”

Hasan al-Basri (rahimahullah) once said, “It could be that a person will attain gray hair in his beard, yet the salah that count for him are few.” This is because people don’t concentrate on salah.

Think about it. The importance of salah can just never be emphasized enough.

The last words of the Prophet (sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam) were, “Al-salah, al-salah, al-salah.”

Suggestion: One way for you to look forward to your salah and keep your concentration in it is to recite different surahs in every single salah, instead of reading the same ones over and over again, salah after salah, day after day. After that, start making different dua’s in each salah.
